DON’T PLAY RUNNING GAMES
This one might seem like a no-brainer, but to little ones it’s not always that obvious. The fun involved in a game of “Tip” or “44-Homes” often outweighs the discomfort of the heat and sweat. My six-year-old routinely tells me he feels pressured to play active games on hot days because he wants to be with his friends and that’s what they’re doing! Try to encourage games like “Eye Spy”, “Charades”, card games like “Uno” or “Scissors, paper, rock”.
